Hey y’all!!!  I’m very excited to share with you a little bit about me and my upcoming plans.  I recently graduated from Hoover High School in Alabama and was struggling with the question of “What’s next for me?”  Well, I knew that I wanted to take some time off before I decided on college and what to do when I got there.  Everyone expects you to know these things and I simply didn’t have a clue. So, I did what I was always taught to do….Pray!  God will work things out. And, boy did He.

God and I have decided that I will be participating with the World Race, which is an incredible initiative by Adventures In Missions.  I will be on a squad with 38 of my soon-to-be closest friends and route guides from around the country as we head out on a nine-month mission adventure in Guatemala, South Africa, Cambodia, and Thailand.  This is going to be an opportunity for me to share God’s amazing love and Gospel, while expanding my own relationship with Jesus. WOW!

Now comes the part that I am uncomfortable with—fundraising.  I need to raise $15,800 in just a few months.  Anyone that knows me, also knows how much I dread this part; however, I know God wants me to do this and He will provide. I am asking for prayers and money–in that order. Also keep my entire squad in your prayers as we all are in the process of raising this money and about to leave home for almost a year.  It is a tall task for any 18-22 year-old.  If you want to contribute to spreading God’s message, I would appreciate you considering a donation to my effort.  Here is an easy link to donate: https://www.adventures.org/give/donate.asp?giveto=worldrace&desc=Sasha%20Fowler&appeal_id=FOWLERALEXANDRA

Now, a little more about me.  I was adopted from Russia when I was 14 months old and moved to Hoover, Alabama. When I got here, I met my brother, Ziven–also from Russia.  He is a Junior/Senior at Auburn University.  My parents (Rob & Anna) raised us in church (Hunter Street Baptist). We have a dog named Oscar and a hairless cat named Phoebe.  I love to do anything outside, write stories and journals, traveling, mission work, hanging with friends,….   During this past spring break I went on a ten-day mission trip to Uganda and fell in love with telling the world about Christ and meeting new people and learning about new cultures. Our pastor often reminds me that the most important thing about any person is their concept of God.  I want to share who God is with the world.
